What is Fairfaxpedia?

Fairfaxpedia is a collaborative encyclopedia for the Fairfax community in Northern Virginia. It seeks to bring the most up-to-date, unbiased information to its readers by allowing peer editing and review. Fairfaxpedia is a wiki, meaning that anyone can edit, correct, or improve the information found on the site by creating an account and clicking the "edit this page" link.

| Community wikis can be valuable resources of local information. Often times, it's difficult for average citizens to learn about local issues. Media outlets don't give community issues the same attention that is given to state or federal issues. Fairfaxpedia can be a great one-stop resource for people to learn about these issues. Collaboratively written content helps ensure that content is unbiased and referenced.

How to get more involved

| We are looking for administrative editors who are interested in joining the Fairfaxpedia team. Editors will focus on a specific topic (elections, schools, government, etc.), manage edits, and find ways to engage with the public on those issues.
